Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three points: you explain that you need income for school expenses, identify cashier work as your preference, and ask Nav to use their gas-station connection. The request is specific and relevant, and the friendly tone suits a letter to a friend. The reason for changing jobs is less fully explained: you are seeking work during your mid-term break, but the response does not clarify whether you currently have a job or why you need to change from it. The type of work is also somewhat broad, since you say you would accept any location and position after naming cashier work. To strengthen the response, make the reason for seeking a new job clearer and add a little detail about your preferred duties or availability.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it moves from your circumstances and reason for seeking work, to the kind of job you want, and then to a direct request for help. Paragraph breaks support this progression, and linking expressions such as “Furthermore” and “Moreover” make the stages easy to follow. However, these transitions feel somewhat mechanical, and the final request repeats the idea of asking for help rather than developing it. Some connections between ideas could also be clearer—for example, how a cashier role relates to your future studies in sales and management. Use more natural links and make each paragraph’s purpose distinct to improve the flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main points, with relevant terms such as “part time job,” “cashier,” “school expenses,” and “sales and management.” You also attempt more specific expressions, including “reference” and “study material,” but several spelling and word-choice errors make the writing less natural and occasionally slow the reader: “alot,” “refrence,” and “I will own you this” are examples. Some phrases are vague or awkward, such as “any location and position” and “books and all.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, especially when making the request. A slightly wider range of precise job-related vocabulary would also help you describe your preferences more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple statements and longer sentences, and the main message remains understandable. There are, however, some errors in verb forms, sentence construction, capitalization, and punctuation. For example, “I am lookiing” should be “I am looking,” while “I just want to earns” needs the base form “earn.” The sentence beginning “I don't mind to working” has an incorrect verb pattern; use “I don't mind working.” Several sentences run together without appropriate spaces or punctuation, and “your faithfully” does not follow the usual closing form. Practise checking verb patterns and sentence boundaries, and use a few accurately controlled complex sentences to show greater grammatical range.
