Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

You address all three points clearly: you explain that passing the RN exam and receiving your British Columbia licence has prompted you to move from HCA work, identify a full-time permanent medical-surgical nursing role, and ask Aman for a reference and application advice. The details about your five years of experience in India and your friend’s workplace make the request relevant and personal. The purpose remains clear throughout. To strengthen the response further, develop the reason for changing jobs a little more—for example, explain what you hope to gain from working as an RN—and make the request for help more specific, such as asking whether Aman could introduce you to the manager or review your application.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a sensible order: it introduces your job search, explains your qualifications and preferred role, then asks for help and closes with a reference to your plans together. This gives the reader a coherent overall arrangement. However, most of the content is placed in one long paragraph, so the shifts between your reason for leaving, the job you want, and your requests are not clearly signposted. Some linking phrases, such as “Apart from this,” feel mechanical, and the relationship between the request for a reference and the request for application information could be clearer. Use separate paragraphs for the explanation, job preference, and request, with a few natural transitions to make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of job-related vocabulary, including “health care sector,” “permanent,” “Registered Nurse,” “medical surgical nurse,” “licence,” and “reference.” These terms make your purpose and preferred role understandable. There are, however, several spelling and word-choice errors that reduce precision, including “yreas,” “regading,” “appricate,” and “help full.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “give my reference to your manager” and “change my job from HCA To RN post.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, such as “recommend me to your manager” and “move from an HCA role into an RN position.” This would make the letter sound more fluent and professional while retaining its friendly tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the reader can generally follow your meaning. For example, you connect your exam result and licence to your career change, and use a conditional request in “if you have any information.” Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, sentence boundaries, capitalization, and punctuation. Examples include “looking for new job,” “i just cleared,” and the run-on sequence beginning “As you know i just cleared my RN exam.” The opening comma after “I hope you are doing good” also leaves the sentence unfinished. Separate ideas into complete sentences, use capital letters consistently, and check articles and verb forms. More accurate control of these basics would make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
