Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You explain the main reason for seeking a new job: the actual working day is much longer than the hours stated in your appointment letter, and HR has refused your request for overtime pay. You also ask Abdul to help you find a job and indicate that you would accept the same salary. However, the requested type of job is not clearly described; the letter mainly says you want a new company, without specifying a role, working conditions, or other preferences. The reason is relevant but its details are difficult to follow in places, and the request for help could be more specific. Develop all three points clearly, especially what kind of work you want and how your friend could assist.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it opens with a greeting, explains your dissatisfaction, and ends by asking for help and requesting a reply. Time references such as “when i join this job” and “first day to till” also show an attempt to organise events. However, most of the explanation is placed in one long paragraph, and the sequence of the working hours and HR discussion is hard to track. Connect ideas more clearly and use separate paragraphs for the reason, the job you want, and your request. Some transitions, including “that why,” do not clearly express the relationship between the preceding information and your conclusion.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use basic vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “duty timing,” “appointment letter,” “HR department,” “overtime,” and “salary,” so the reader can identify the central problem. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “help me for new best job,” “carry own same time,” and “overtime charges.” Spelling errors such as “compay,” “becase,” and “Wating” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural phrases that describe your circumstances precisely, for example, “working hours,” “work the same hours,” and “overtime pay.” Proofreading spelling and choosing standard workplace expressions would make the letter clearer and more appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response relies mainly on short, simple statements, with a few attempts to link events using “when” and “if.” These attempts show some effort to express time and conditions, but sentence structures are often faulty: “i am working almost 10 year of this company” and “first day to till that i am reached” make the timeline difficult to understand. Verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries also need attention; for example, “when i received a opiontment letter i see” shifts tense and lacks clear punctuation. Practise forming accurate past-tense sentences to describe what happened, then use present forms for your current situation and request. Clearer sentence boundaries will help your meaning come through.
