Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that target pressure and limited promotion prospects are prompting a change, describe an interest in technology and vehicle design, and ask your friend about vacancies in the automotive research department. These details make the letter relevant and give the reader a clear reason for your decision. However, the preferred job is not fully specified: you mention an MNC and designing or inventing vehicle models, but do not clearly state the role or working conditions you seek. The request for help is also cut off at “i will dr,” so your friend is not given a complete instruction. Develop these points and finish with a clear request and suitable closing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The ideas follow a generally sensible order: you introduce your decision, explain your current work situation, describe your interests and qualifications, and then turn to your friend for help. This gives the letter an overall coherent structure. Some connections are less clear within sentences, particularly the long explanation beginning “At present i am working…” where the reasons for leaving run together. The final paragraph also moves quickly from your diploma to the request, and the unfinished ending interrupts the progression. Use clearer sentence boundaries and organise the letter into distinct paragraphs for the reason, preferred work, and request. A complete closing would make the communication feel more finished.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “achieve targets,” “promotion,” “technology field,” and “design,” which helps communicate your career plans. There are also attempts at more specific terms such as “AutoCAD diploma” and “automobile research department.” However, several word choices, collocations, and spellings reduce precision, including “bank mangers,” “switch job,” “invention or technology,” and “automoblie compreserch.” Some phrases are difficult to interpret, especially “i thinks so chances.” Choose standard job-related expressions and check spelling carefully; this would make your meaning more precise and natural. The range is adequate for the letter, but accuracy and control are uneven.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, for example when linking the pressure of targets with promotion prospects. The main ideas are usually understandable, but some grammatical errors make parts of the letter difficult to follow. Examples include “i write this letter” instead of a correctly formed present-tense expression, “i thinks,” and the sentence beginning “At present i am working…” which lacks clear sentence boundaries and contains inconsistent clause structure. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in the lowercase “i” and missing spaces after full stops. Practise accurate verb forms, sentence boundaries, and punctuation, then proofread for consistency. These improvements would make your longer sentences clearer while retaining variety.
