Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter clearly addresses all three requirements: you explain that your current job is far from home, pays poorly, and involves a tiring commute; you describe wanting a teaching or receptionist role with morning hours and better pay; and you directly ask Sana to help you find a suitable vacancy. These relevant details extend the main points and make your purpose clear. The request for help through her school contacts is particularly specific. To make the ideas even more fully developed, briefly explain why teaching or reception work suits you, or what experience you could offer. The closing is polite, though “Your’s faithfully” is not the most natural sign-off for a letter to a friend.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information follows a sensible order: you share the news, explain your reasons, describe the job you want, and then ask for help. This gives the letter a coherent overall arrangement, and phrases such as “Actually” and “Could you please” help signal the purpose of each section. However, most of the content is presented in one dense paragraph, so the shift from explaining your current difficulties to describing your preferred job is not visually clear. Some linking is also mechanical, particularly the repeated use of “I” to begin sentences. Use separate paragraphs for the reason, job preference, and request, and vary transitions so the progression feels smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for communicating the situation, with useful task-related phrases such as “current job,” “office timing,” “suitable job,” and “attached my CV.” The reader can understand the reasons for changing jobs and the type of work you want. However, several word choices and collocations are unnatural or inaccurate, including “in the best of your health,” “give proper time to my kids,” and “any vaccany.” Spelling errors such as “tme” and “vaccany” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more natural expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, say “spend enough time with my children” and “any vacancies.” This would make the letter sound more fluent and precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple sentences and some longer structures, including “I have to travel for 2 hours daily and I cannot…” and the conditional purpose clause “so I can manage both my family and my job.” The meaning remains clear overall. Some grammatical errors are present, however: “this letter will finds” should be “this letter will find,” and “I am feeling very tired” would more naturally be “I feel very tired” in this context. There are also punctuation and spacing problems where sentences run together, such as “health.I” and “timing,so.” Review verb forms after modal verbs and separate sentences with consistent punctuation. More accurate control of these forms would strengthen the letter.
