Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the main points: you explain that your warehouse shifts were unsuitable, mention your experience in a pizza store, and ask Raman to help you find similar work. The reason that you need to pay your basement rent also makes the request personal and relevant. However, the description of the job you want is brief, and the explanation of your previous work is unclear (“which is tea house”). The letter is also 11 words below the required minimum, so the ideas remain under-developed. Add details such as the hours, duties, or type of pizza-store role you prefer, and explain more clearly why the previous job did not suit you. This would make the response more complete and specific.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The reader can follow the general purpose of the letter, and the ideas appear in a broadly sensible order: greeting, job search, reason for leaving, request, and closing. However, almost all the information is packed into one long paragraph and a single extended sentence, so the progression is difficult to follow. “Firstly” does not lead into a clearly organised sequence, while “so” is repeated several times to connect different ideas. Separate the explanation of your previous job from the description of the role you want and your request for help. Use full stops and a small number of clear linking phrases to show how each point relates to the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the topic, including “experience,” “warehouse,” “shift,” and “rent.” The repeated references to a “job” and “help,” however, make the wording limited, and some phrases are inaccurate or unclear. For example, “a job which is related pizza store” does not express the relationship naturally, and “proper shift” is vague. There are also spelling errors in “respose” and “poosible,” which reduce the accuracy of the letter. Build a wider set of job-search expressions and check spelling; for instance, specify the role or working hours you are seeking rather than repeating “job” and “help.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its basic meaning, but it relies heavily on one long sentence and shows limited control of sentence boundaries. The opening, “I hope you are fine, I happy to write this letter,” joins clauses with a comma and omits the verb “am” in the second clause. In “before this i work in warehouse,” the tense and article are not controlled, and “they are not giving me proper shift so i leave that job” needs clearer clause structure and past-tense forms. Capitalisation of “I” is also inconsistent. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine ideas with accurate conjunctions. This will make your grammar easier to follow while allowing you to show a wider range of structures.
