Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points in the task: you explain that your current tech-support role offers little opportunity to learn, describe your interest in a cybersecurity analyst position, and ask Ram for a referral or help contacting the hiring manager. The specific opening at ABC Bank makes the request relevant and clear. The explanation of the job you want is less fully developed, however: you mention security breaches and vulnerability assessments, but give little detail about the responsibilities or qualities you are seeking. The request for help is direct, though the urgency could be expressed more tactfully for a letter to a friend. Adding a little more detail about your preferred role would make the response more complete and developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a generally sensible order: you introduce your job search, explain your dissatisfaction with your current role, and then ask for help with a specific vacancy. This gives the reader a clear overall progression. However, most of the content is presented in one long paragraph, and several ideas run together, particularly the description of your current duties and the move to the Indeed vacancy. The repeated wording in “this letter this letter” and the abrupt “Ans finally” also interrupt the flow. Use separate paragraphs for your reason, preferred job, and request, and connect them with clear transitions such as “As a result” or “I recently noticed.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “tech support,” “Cyber Security,” “security data breach,” “vulnerability assessment,” and “hiring manager.” These terms help communicate the kind of work you are seeking. However, spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural combinations are noticeable, including “vulernablity assesment,” “lookk,” and “give me your reference.” Some phrases are also unclear, such as “protecting the office form security data breach.” Aim for accurate spelling and more natural collocations, for example, “protecting company systems from data breaches” and “provide a reference.” This would make your meaning smoother and more professional while retaining the friendly tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your message communicates its main points, but grammatical errors occur throughout and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include missing verbs or auxiliaries in “I hope you doing fine” and “I looking for new,” as well as the incorrect construction “I Arjun Patel writing this letter.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “I saw an job opening” and the long sentence beginning “My job role include.” Most sentences rely on simple structures, with limited accurate use of more complex forms. Practise complete sentence patterns and check verb forms and articles; for example, write “I hope you are doing well” and “My role includes protecting the office from data breaches.”
