You live in a small apartment building. You are frequently bothered by noise from your upstairs neighbour's apartment.

Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it is a problem for you.
• suggest a solution.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Amit,

I am writing to bring to your attention the ongoing noise disturbances often comes from your apartment particularly during late hours. I has caused some inconvenience and has affected my ability to sleep.

As you are aware that I work 7 days a week and comes home at 7 in the evening. I eventually need a good rest so that I can prepare myself for the next day. I am also aware that you work night job and have a babysitter at your home while you are away for work. Moreover you have got a pet dog in the house. Apparently, the issue causes when the kids play with the dog and your TV is left on by your maid on high volume while doing the cleaning, consequently affecting my sleep and giving me a hard time the next day at work.

However, there are ways we can solve this problem. For example, if you would be able to leave your children at your babysitter's house itself or if you can advice your maid to do the cleaning work in the daytime.
