Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the noise, explaining the impact on your work, and suggesting a solution. However, the response is slightly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which limits the development of your ideas. While the tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a neighbour, the content is somewhat brief. To improve, you should expand on the specific nature of the noise and provide more detail regarding the proposed solution to ensure the task is fully developed and meets the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organised into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Lastly' to structure the letter. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the problem and the impact could be smoother. To reach a higher band, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the progression of ideas feels more natural rather than just a list of points.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'disturbance' and 'restriction'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'music voice' instead of 'volume' and 'doing work as a manager' instead of 'working as a manager'. There are also minor spelling errors like 'parities' (parties) and 'distrubance' (disturbance). Expanding your range of collocations and checking your spelling will help you achieve a higher score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'I am noticing this problem from many days' (should be 'for many days') and 'I have to go early at work' (should be 'to work'). Additionally, 'I am doing work as a manager in bank' lacks the necessary articles. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they are frequent enough to impact the overall accuracy of the writing. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and preposition usage will improve your accuracy.
