Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three bullet points: describing the noise, explaining the impact on your life, and suggesting a solution. The tone is generally appropriate for a letter to a neighbour, although the opening 'lodge a formal complaint' is slightly aggressive for a residential context. The ideas are relevant, though the development is somewhat limited. For example, the explanation of why the noise is a problem is clear, but the suggestion could be more specific. To improve, ensure the tone remains consistently polite and collaborative rather than overly formal or accusatory, which helps in achieving a more natural and effective communication style.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each serving a distinct purpose. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Moreover', and 'This will be', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'Infect' (likely intended as 'In fact') and 'I am not telling you that you are not enjoy'. The flow between sentences could be smoother; focusing on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to their antecedents would improve the overall coherence and cohesion of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You have an adequate range of vocabulary to convey your message, but there are several instances of incorrect word choice and collocation. For example, 'lodge a formal complaint' is a bit stiff, 'Infect' is a spelling error for 'In fact', and 'distract my kids' is not the most precise collocation (disturb would be better). Phrases like 'keep your volume of your music some extent low' are also slightly unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for the context of a friendly but firm letter to a neighbour.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There is a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have several grammatical errors, such as 'am a working woman' (missing subject 'I'), 'with take care of' (incorrect verb form), and 'you are not enjoy' (incorrect tense/verb structure). Additionally, 'looking forward for' should be 'looking forward to'. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your meaning, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency. Working on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will significantly improve your grammatical accuracy.
