Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter covers all three bullet points: describing the noise, explaining the impact, and suggesting a solution. However, the tone is highly inappropriate for a letter to a neighbour. The language used, particularly the threat to call the police and the accusation that friends are 'drunk', is overly aggressive and confrontational. This tone fails to meet the requirements of a formal or semi-formal letter, which should be polite and constructive. While the task requirements are technically addressed, the lack of appropriate register significantly impacts the effectiveness of the communication.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks paragraphing, which makes it difficult to follow the progression of ideas. The sentences are often short and choppy, and the use of cohesive devices is very limited. For example, the transition between describing the work schedule and the noise complaint is abrupt. There is a lack of logical flow between the description of the problem and the suggested solution. The use of referencing is also weak, with repetitive sentence structures that make the text feel mechanical rather than fluid.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as '406 department' instead of 'apartment', 'Google company' instead of 'Google', and 'society peoples' instead of 'residents'. The phrase 'never do that things' is grammatically incorrect and lacks the necessary precision for a formal letter. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and the errors in word choice are frequent enough to be noticeable.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with articles ('in a day time'), verb tense consistency, and sentence structure. For example, 'I am living in a 406 department' should be 'I live in apartment 406'. The sentence 'Your friends drunk alchol' is missing a verb and contains a spelling error. Punctuation is also problematic, with spaces missing after commas and periods. The range of structures is limited to simple sentences, and the frequent errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the intended message.
