You live in a small apartment building. You are frequently bothered by noise from your upstairs neighbour's apartment.

Write a letter to your neighbour. In your letter
• describe the situation.
• explain why it is a problem for you.
• suggest a solution.

Dear Mr. Smith,

I hope you are doing great. I am writing to bring to your attention that your late night music and parties create a significant inconvenience and irritation.

The music that you play in the night which has a lot of folk and jazz rhythm creates a significant noise as you listen them on a high volume. Additionally, the event the you organize in the late midnights creates a significant inconvenience and discomfort.

Owing to this, my sleep cycle has been affected considerably. In addition to that, I am unable to focus on my work and complete the tasks on time productively. More importantly, I am very concerned about my grandparents who are living with me because they have typical health problems such as high blood pressure and sugar.

As a result, I kindly request that you consider this request and reduce the noise and also minimize the overnight parties as these disturb the neighbors privacy. If needed I request that you could upgrade your unit with soundproof walls so that the sound cannot transmit through the walls and disturb others privacy.
