Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response covers all parts of the task prompt reasonably well. You successfully describe the situation by mentioning that your neighbour started construction over the past two days to furnish their home. You explain why it is a problem for you by pointing out the clash between the morning construction noise and your online classes running from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. Finally, you suggest a practical solution by asking Mr. Khan to change his construction timing. However, the tone and purpose shift slightly at the beginning when you state 'I am writing a letter to you to show my gratitude' while the core of the letter is a complaint, which slightly confuses the opening intent. Overall, the ideas are relevant and address the required bullet points adequately, placing this performance at Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter maintains a coherent overall arrangement and follows a logical structure from a greeting to describing the issue and offering a solution. However, the paragraphing and linking of ideas are somewhat disjointed and mechanical. Sentences like 'Now, you compeleting your dream. Meanwhile, there is a problem I am facing today is I learn something on my online classes' lack smooth transitions, making the progression of thought abrupt. Cohesive devices are minimal, and referencing is occasionally confusing, such as the sudden shift between expressing gratitude and discussing a noise problem. While the layout with standard letter formatting is present, the internal cohesion requires improvement, justifying a Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary range is limited and adequate for the task, featuring basic terms alongside attempts at less common vocabulary such as 'furnished' and 'gratitude'. There are several noticeable spelling and word-choice errors that detract from the writing, including 'neihbour's' instead of neighbours, 'constraction' instead of construction, and 'compeleting' instead of completing. Furthermore, phrases like 'show my gratitude' are misused in a context that is primarily a complaint about noise. While communication is generally maintained and your meaning can be understood, the frequent lexical inaccuracies and spelling mistakes restrict the score to a Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional or time-related clauses ('As you know we are neihbours since 2019, and we live happily'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including tense and preposition issues like 'from past 2 days' instead of for the past two days, 'start at 7' o clock at morning' instead of in the morning, and missing articles. Punctuation is also erratic in places, particularly with time expressions. These errors cause some difficulty for the reader and prevent the writing from reaching a higher band, though basic meaning remains clear. This corresponds to a Band 5.0.
