Dear Neighbour,

I hope you are well. I am writing because I have been experiencing considerable noise from your apartment, particularly during the late evening and early morning.

Over the past few weeks, there have frequently been loud footsteps, furniture being moved and what sounds like heavy objects being dropped on the floor. On several occasions, the noise has continued until after midnight. I appreciate that some everyday noise is unavoidable in an apartment building; however, the volume and frequency have become increasingly disruptive.

Unfortunately, this is affecting my sleep and making it difficult for me to concentrate while working from home. I have important meetings early in the morning, so being woken repeatedly during the night is leaving me exhausted and less productive during the day. In addition, the constant banging has made it difficult for my family and me to relax in the evening.

Would you mind keeping noise to a minimum, especially between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.? Placing felt pads under furniture and avoiding activities that involve moving heavy items during these hours might also help considerably. If the problem is caused by a specific issue, I would be happy to discuss it with you and find a mutually convenient solution.
