Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You successfully cover all parts of the task by describing the noise situation from your upstairs neighbours, explaining how it impacts your warehouse job and part-time studies, and suggesting a practical solution involving the landlord. Your ideas are relevant and fulfill the prompt requirements. However, some parts are slightly under-developed or touch upon points briefly without full extension, such as your explanation of the impact on your studies. To move further up, you could expand more thoroughly on each point with richer details and clearer elaboration throughout the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

Your letter has a coherent overall arrangement with a clear purpose established right from the opening. You use paragraphing to separate your introduction, the description of the problem, your proposed solutions, and your sign-off. However, the cohesion feels somewhat mechanical at times, and referencing between sentences could be smoother. For instance, transitional phrases between your work struggles and study struggles are basic. To improve, you can incorporate a wider range of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the logical links between your paragraphs flow seamlessly without abrupt shifts.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your message about the noise complaint. You attempt some less common vocabulary, but this is accompanied by noticeable errors in word choice, collocation, and spelling, such as writing "youngones", "lound", "didnot listen my concers", and "on my job" instead of "in my job". These lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips do not completely impede communication, but they cause some difficulty for the reader. To reach a higher level, you should focus on accurate word formation, correct spelling, and natural collocations suitable for semi-formal correspondence.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You demonstrate a limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside some basic attempts at complex forms that are often faulty, such as "noise comes from apartment 206 in my apartment 205" and "If they will not lisen you then try to change their apartment". There are frequent errors in verb forms, prepositions, and tense usage, such as "I also doing study part-time". These errors require occasional effort to interpret, placing your grammar control at this level. To improve, you need to practise using a wider variety of complex grammatical structures accurately, paying closer attention to auxiliary verbs, tense consistency, and appropriate prepositions.
