Dear Raman,
I hope my letter finds you doing well.I am writing this with regard to the noise that comes from your apartment and has been causing a lot of trouble and inconvenience to me.
I live in an apartment which is directly below you. Since, past two weeks i have been bothered by the music and other noises which comes from your room.I have my exams next month since i am a night owl that's the only time i get to concentrate and focuss on my studies but due to so much disturbance i hardly get to study and loose my focuss to such distractions. Moreover, these exams are really important to me because its my last semester and i will get placements based on this.
It will be really appreciable if you could lower the music volume at night until my exams are over so that i get to study with determination and least troubles.I hope you will understand my request.
Yours faithfully

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5
The response successfully addresses all parts of the prompt in a clear and appropriate semi-formal tone. You clearly describe the situation by stating that you live directly below the neighbour and are experiencing disturbance from music and other noises over the past two weeks. The problem is also well explained through personal context, noting that your exams are next month and you need nighttime quiet to concentrate because it is your final semester and crucial for your placements. Finally, a practical solution is offered by asking your neighbour to lower the music volume at night until the exams are over. Your ideas are relevant and well-developed, with clear supporting details throughout the letter, reflecting a strong performance for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter demonstrates a clear logical organisation and progression from the opening greeting to the concluding sign-off. The structure follows a natural flow, beginning with the purpose of the letter, moving into the specific problems and reasons, and ending with a polite request. You use a good variety of cohesive devices and linking words such as 'with regard to', 'Since', 'Moreover', and 'so that' to connect your ideas. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate your introduction, body explanation, and closing request, resulting in a coherent overall arrangement that is easy to follow for the reader.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, successfully conveying your message, though it shows some limitations in precision and word choice. You attempt some less common vocabulary items such as 'inconvenience', 'concentration', and 'determination', which fit the context reasonably well. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice, spelling, and collocation, such as 'focuss' instead of 'focus', 'loose' instead of 'lose', and the slightly unnatural phrase 'with determination and least troubles'. While these errors and occasional spelling slips are present, they do not impede communication, showing that your lexical range is sufficient to handle a general correspondence task.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating clauses with 'since' and 'so that' to express reasons and results. However, there are some frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that prevent a higher score. For instance, there are punctuation errors such as missing spaces after commas and periods (e.g., 'well.I', 'room.I', 'month since'), missing articles ('its my last semester'), and prepositional or structural awkwardness ('Since, past two weeks i have been bothered'). Additionally, capitalization issues with the pronoun 'i' occur throughout the text. These errors in grammar and punctuation require some effort from the reader, though they rarely obscure your overall meaning.
