Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the main situation by saying that noise from upstairs neighbours interrupts your studying, and you explain that you feel tired after returning home and sometimes feel scared. You also attempt to suggest a solution, asking them not to use loud speakers or play games late at night. However, the letter’s purpose and details are not always clear: “they are played meet nights before studying” is difficult to understand, and the request to “offer one feedback of neighbors” does not clearly explain what you want them to do. Develop the situation with a specific example of when the noise occurs, and state your request directly and politely so each part of the task is fully clear.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some organisation: it moves from describing the noise and its effect to making a request, and it includes a closing. However, the progression is not consistently clear. Several ideas are repeated, such as the effect on studying, while connections between them are difficult to follow; for example, “when we are loudly noise then i am not doing anything” does not clearly link the noise to a specific consequence. Paragraphing is attempted, but the opening is not presented as a letter greeting, and the body paragraphs do not each have a clear focus. Organise the letter into a greeting, a paragraph describing the noise and its impact, and a final paragraph with one clear proposed solution.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “noise,” “upstairs neighbors,” “studying,” and “loud speaker,” so the reader can identify the general issue. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations make the message hard to understand. Phrases such as “played meet nights,” “makeva very noise,” and “offer one feedback of neighbors” are not natural or clear in this context. Spelling and word-form problems, including “ans” and “loudly noise,” also reduce precision. Build a small set of accurate phrases for this situation, such as “play games late at night,” “make a lot of noise,” and “the noise disrupts my studies,” and check spelling before finishing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
The letter attempts to express reasons and consequences, but sentence structures are mostly simple and many sentences contain errors that make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I live a small apartment buildings” has problems with the verb pattern, article, and singular/plural agreement, while “they are disturb my studying” uses an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “After long time i back to home” also lacks a correctly formed main verb. There is little accurate use of more complex structures, and capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise complete subject–verb sentences and basic past or present forms, then combine ideas with simple clauses such as “Because the noise continues late, I cannot concentrate on my studies.”
