Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you describe ongoing music noise, explain its effects on your work and your children’s study, and propose quieter listening times and soundproof flooring. The purpose is clear and the tone is generally polite, which suits a neighbourly letter. The impact on your household is relevant, but the description of the noise could be more specific, and the proposed solutions are not fully explained—for example, you could request quiet hours or agree on a suitable volume. The phrase “at soothing music level” also makes the request less clear. These details leave some ideas less developed, while the main message remains understandable. A more explicit, considerate request would make the letter more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening, an explanation of the problem, a paragraph about its effects and possible solutions, and a polite closing. Connectors such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” and “For instance” help signal the stages of your message. However, some sentences combine several ideas without clear boundaries, particularly the long sentence beginning “Firstly, it generates…” This makes the relationship between the effects on your work and your children harder to follow. “However” does not clearly express a contrast there, and “which” in the solutions paragraph has an unclear reference. Separate the effects into clearer sentences and use linking words only when their meaning fits; this would make the progression more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the situation and its consequences, including “work from home,” “kids education,” “home work,” and “noiseproof flooring.” There are also attempts at more formal or varied wording, such as “assistance” and “concentration.” However, several inaccurate or unnatural choices reduce precision: “continuous music noise,” “peacefull surroundings,” “abructive music noise,” and “escalate their concentration” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “continous,” “concentarte,” and “availabilty” are noticeable. Aim for accurate, familiar collocations rather than inserting formal-sounding words; for example, say that the noise “disrupts” your children’s study and that soundproofing could “reduce” the disturbance.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a sentence explaining several effects and another introducing possible solutions. The main meaning can generally be understood, but errors in sentence construction and basic grammar are frequent enough to make some parts difficult to read. For example, “i want to let you know that there is a continous music noise Bothering” has faulty construction and capitalisation, while “it also affect my work” lacks subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “Firstly” joins clauses without clear punctuation, and “looking for your response” is an incomplete closing phrase. Practise forming complete sentences, checking verb agreement and tense, and using full stops to separate distinct ideas.
