IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You let a friend stay at your apartment while you were away on a trip. When you returned home, you discovered that a valuable possession was broken.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
• describe the broken possession.
• explain why it is important to you.
• explain what you would like your friend to do.

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Dear Bibek,

I hope you are doing well. Hope you had a great stay at my place when I was away. I am writing this to you because I discovered my favorite vase was broken while I was away.

When I arrived home from vacation, I found that the ceramic vase was broken and spilled on the floor. It seems that it was accidently broken by you when I was away, and you didn't notice about it

This vase was so much worthy for me as it was the last gift for me from my late great grandfather. Beyond its cost it has great emotional value for me. Although this vase is not so worthy, but it always resides on a part of my heart.

Can you please contact me so that we can discuss about it later? We will contact a good restorer and discuss how can we restore it.
