I found my laptop in broken condition when i enter my room in the morning.

Today morning when I open my room door I found the room was is in very bad condition. Moreover, I see my dell laptop was in two broken piece's on the floor. When I see it I honestly started crying.

I would like to know you that this laptop not might be costly as other laptops but this is too much valuable for me because my father gifted me on my 18th birthday. I know how many shops we visited just to buy this model which also have touch screen option.

I think we should talk about this as soon as possible. I wish it can be repair and works as it work before. Aman I want you to take it from me and go to the best repair shop and get fixed it .

Your sincerely,

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all three bullet points: describing the broken laptop, explaining its sentimental value, and requesting action from the friend. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. While the emotional impact is mentioned, the explanation of the laptop's importance could be more detailed to fully satisfy the task requirements. The tone is appropriate for a letter to a friend, though the transition between the discovery of the damage and the request for help is a bit abrupt. Overall, the task is fulfilled, but the depth of the content is basic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. There is a clear progression from the discovery of the damage to the explanation of its value and the final request. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and limited. For example, the use of 'Moreover' and 'Today morning' feels slightly unnatural. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'I would like to know you that this laptop not might be costly', which disrupts the flow of information.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing, such as 'in broken condition' instead of 'broken' or 'damaged', and 'take it from me' instead of 'collect it'. The student relies on basic adjectives like 'bad' and 'valuable'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated vocabulary or natural collocations prevents a higher score. Spelling is generally accurate, but the word choice often feels like a direct translation from another language.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include 'Today morning when I open my room door I found the room was is in very bad condition' (tense and word order issues), 'two broken piece's' (incorrect pluralization), and 'I wish it can be repair' (incorrect passive voice). These errors are noticeable and occasionally impede the reader's understanding, though the overall message remains intelligible. More attention to verb tenses and sentence construction is needed to improve accuracy.
