IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You let a friend stay at your apartment while you were away on a trip. When you returned home, you discovered that a valuable possession was broken.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter
• describe the broken possession.
• explain why it is important to you.
• explain what you would like your friend to do.

Dear Mira,

How are you doing? I hope you had a comfortable stay in my apartment for last fifteen days. I was cleaning my place yesterday and I found my vase was broken. It made up of a blue and white Italic marble which is placed next to the TV unit.

This vase is important to me because it was gifted to me by my late grandmother. She got it from Italy and it was special for her because my grandfather gave it to her as an anniversary gift. Since than she has kept it carefully and It was a symbol of love which she wanted me to pass down.

After observing I realize it can be fixed but has a significant amount t repair. I hope you are able to contribute to fix vase as it holds a great important to me. Please stop by at my apartment after work today if possible.
