Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to address the core prompt. The instructions ask you to write to a friend about a broken possession discovered after they stayed at your home. Instead, your letter discusses a necklace you forgot at home while you are stuck in traffic, and you ask the friend to stay at your apartment to keep it safe. You have completely misunderstood the scenario provided in the task. Because the content does not relate to the situation of a broken item, the task requirements are not met.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter lacks logical progression. The ideas are disjointed, and the transition between the initial request to stay at the apartment and the description of the necklace is confusing. There is a lack of cohesive devices, and the paragraphing is ineffective, making it difficult for the reader to follow the narrative. The structure is fragmented, and the relationship between the sentences is often unclear, which hinders the overall flow of the message.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is very limited and repetitive. You rely on basic words like 'stay', 'home', and 'important'. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'I importance necklece' and 'I feel relax'. The use of informal abbreviations like 'u' is inappropriate for an IELTS letter, even in an informal context. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express your ideas clearly or with any degree of precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The grammar is significantly flawed throughout the text. There are frequent errors in sentence structure, verb tense, and word order, such as 'I need a your help', 'Can u please stay my apartment', and 'my husband give me this necklace'. Many sentences are grammatically incomplete or incorrectly formed, which makes the text difficult to read. There is no evidence of complex sentence structures, and the high frequency of errors causes strain for the reader.
