Dear Toby,
I am writing this letter to bring your attention to a concern which requires your immediate action. I am one of your tenant from apartment 12ABH on second floor. From last two days , I have been noticing water leakage from the roof of my living room. I tried to call you to inform about the situation and a left voicemail.
The problem gets worse over time as the water leakage is also started from the roof of the kitchen. As a result, It caused me a lot of inconvenience. It also damaged my personal belongings. I am avoiding to use any electronic appliances to prevent electric short circut. Therefore, this problem requires a solution on urgent basis.
I would like to request you to please visit the building as soon as possible to check the issue. Moreover, I request you to make living arrangements for me in other apartment until the problem get fixed properly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0
The letter successfully addresses all three bullet points: describing the problem, suggesting a solution, and requesting a visit. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a building manager. The ideas are relevant and clearly presented, though the development of the request for alternative accommodation could be slightly more nuanced. Overall, the response fulfills the requirements of the task effectively.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.5
The letter is logically organized into three distinct paragraphs, each focusing on a specific aspect of the prompt. Cohesive devices such as 'As a result', 'Moreover', and 'Therefore' are used to link ideas effectively. The progression of information is clear, moving from the description of the issue to the impact and finally the requested action. The paragraphing is appropriate and contributes to the overall readability of the letter.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, with clear communication throughout. There are some minor inaccuracies, such as 'electric short circut' (should be 'electrical short circuit') and 'on urgent basis' (should be 'on an urgent basis'). While the range is sufficient to convey the message, incorporating more precise collocations or varied vocabulary would enhance the quality of the writing. The spelling of 'circuit' is also incorrect.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'I am one of your tenant' (should be 'tenants'), 'From last two days' (should be 'For the last two days'), and 'water leakage is also started' (should be 'has also started'). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more consistent control over basic grammatical rules, such as subject-verb agreement and preposition usage.
