Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points: describing the leakage and bin issues, suggesting solutions, and requesting a visit. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For example, while you mention the leakage, you do not specify the severity or the exact location beyond 'washroom' and 'kitchen'. To improve, provide more specific details about the impact of these issues (e.g., 'water is damaging the floorboards'). The request for a visit is clear, but the overall structure could be more professional by ensuring the purpose of the letter is stated more explicitly in the opening paragraph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First of all', 'Secondly', and 'I hope'. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'When you will here then please observe the rooftop'. The use of 'here' as a verb is incorrect, and the transition to the request for the plumber is abrupt. Improving the use of linking phrases and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer back to previous nouns would enhance the logical progression of your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate the main issues effectively. You use some relevant terms like 'leakage', 'assistance', 'sanitation', and 'drainage'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'living place' instead of 'apartment' or 'residence', and 'assistance' used to refer to a person rather than a service. Additionally, there are minor errors in word formation, such as 'Yours's Faithfully' (the correct form is 'Yours faithfully'). To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring formal register consistency.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. For instance, 'I lived in... since last three years' should be 'I have lived in... for the last three years'. The sentence 'Two days before because of raining this problem was start' contains multiple errors in tense and word order. Furthermore, there are issues with subject-verb agreement and missing articles (e.g., 'on my main entrance' should be 'at the main entrance'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to limit your score. Focus on mastering verb tenses and basic sentence construction.
