Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain that the water supply has been damaged, describe the inconvenience, and ask the manager to visit and arrange a repair. The request to “come in my apartment and see the actual problem” is clear, and the letter has an appropriate closing. However, the description is brief and the proposed action is not fully developed: it would help to specify whether the manager should arrange a plumber or inspect the main supply system. The explanation that you are busy at work and technicians are unavailable in the evening is relevant, but its connection to the requested visit could be clearer. Overall, the task is covered, though some ideas need fuller and clearer development.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the problem, explains its effect, and makes a request. However, the ideas run together in one long paragraph, so the reader has to work to follow the sequence. Several links are repetitive or unclear, particularly the repeated requests to “come in my apartment” and “visit and see the problem,” and “This is because” does not clearly connect the ideas that follow it. Use separate paragraphs for the problem and its impact, then the requested action and visit. Clearer transitions such as “As a result” and “Could you therefore” would make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the central issue, including “water supply system,” “technician,” and “fix the problem.” The reader can understand that the lack of water is disrupting your routine. However, several word choices and spelling errors make the letter less natural, such as “face very difficulty,” “routine life is distrub,” and “main supply system.” Some phrases are also repeated rather than varied. Aim for accurate collocations and more precise wording—for example, describe the supply as “not working” or “damaged,” and explain that the disruption is affecting your daily routine. Proofreading spelling and choosing natural phrases would improve clarity and control.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction occur across the letter. For example, “water supply system are damage” needs a correctly formed subject and verb, while “technician are not available” has an agreement error. The opening sentence joins two independent clauses with only a comma, and “When you come in my apartment…” is an incomplete sentence. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then connect them with suitable conjunctions. Correct verb forms and complete sentence structures would make your requests clearer and more professional.
