Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain that the shower alternates between cold water and stopping, suggest calling a plumber, and invite the manager to visit while you are home. The detail that you removed and cleaned the knob also shows what you have already tried. However, the proposed repair and the impact on your family could be explained more fully, and the request to arrange a visit would be clearer with a specific time or request for confirmation. The response is also four words below the required minimum, so it needs a little more relevant detail. Overall, the purpose is clear, though some parts are less developed than others.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The information follows a sensible order: you introduce yourself and the problem, describe your attempted repair, suggest a plumber, and then invite the manager to inspect it. This makes the letter understandable overall. However, almost the entire message is written as one long paragraph, and the ideas run together without clear sentence boundaries. The repeated use of “so” and “and” also makes the connections feel mechanical. Separate the letter into short paragraphs and use full stops to distinguish the problem, proposed action, and visit request. A conventional closing would also give the letter a clearer ending.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the issue, including “shower,” “cold water,” “plumber,” and “clean it.” However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “its showering only cold water,” “fix this properly,” and “am get rid from this problem.” Spelling errors such as “apartement” and “beacuse” also reduce accuracy. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding the main problem, but they make the letter less clear and natural. Build a wider set of repair-related phrases and check spelling; for example, describe the shower as “only producing cold water” and say you want the issue “resolved.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its main message, but sentence structures are mostly simple or joined into long strings, with limited control of more complex forms. Some grammatical errors appear in key clauses: “my name is ramandeep singh and am living” omits the subject in the second clause, while “some time its showering only cold water” has problems with the verb construction and sentence form. “Am look forward from your side” also does not form a correct closing sentence. Use complete sentences with clear subjects and verbs, and punctuate them separately. For instance: “My name is Ramandeep Singh, and I live in apartment 151 on the second floor.” More accurate sentence patterns would make the letter easier to read.
