Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main problem—a sudden loss of hot water—and explain why it matters, especially in winter and because of your hypothermia risk. You also suggest clearing a pipe blockage and begin asking the manager to visit, so the letter is relevant to the task. However, the request for a visit is cut off at “visit my apatm,” and the proposed repair is not explained clearly enough to ensure the manager understands what action you want. The response is also 13 words below the required minimum, leaving the request and details underdeveloped. Complete the visit request and add practical information, such as when the problem began and a suitable time to inspect it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter has a recognisable sequence: it introduces the hot-water problem, gives personal context, and then proposes a repair. Paragraph breaks help separate these points. However, the progression is weakened by abrupt or incomplete sentences, particularly “Because, I am a hypothermic person” and the unfinished final request. Some links are also awkward or mechanical, such as “Mainly” and “In my opinion,” which do not clearly connect the ideas that follow. Improve the flow by using complete sentences and linking the health concern directly to the request for urgent repair. A clear closing paragraph asking for a visit would give the letter a more complete structure.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the issue, including “hot water supply,” “pipe blockage,” and “hypothermic.” These choices show an attempt to be specific, but several phrases are unnatural or imprecise and may make the message harder to follow. For example, “in an immediate method,” “make urgent requirements,” and “get rid from the risks” do not express the intended meaning idiomatically. There are also spelling or word-form problems, including “apatm” and “occuring.” Aim for straightforward, natural collocations rather than formal-sounding phrases: for instance, ask the manager to “arrange an urgent inspection” and explain that you need hot water to “reduce the risk” to your health.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the main message is generally understandable. However, errors in sentence construction and punctuation are frequent enough to affect clarity. “Because, I am a hypothermic person” is a fragment, while “This was the first time I am suffering” mixes past and present forms. In “if we lack hot water supply, it will affect me and others,” the article and conditional phrasing need attention. Several sentences also run together because spaces are missing after full stops, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise forming complete clauses, keeping verb tenses consistent, and checking punctuation and spacing before submitting.
