Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify several relevant problems—no Wi-Fi, electricity, or working shower—and explain that the electricity and internet difficulties affect your children’s schoolwork. You also ask the manager to visit, so the main purpose is recognisable. However, the request for repairs is not stated clearly: “I thinks that you would solved my problems” is vague about what action is needed, and the description of the shower problem is not developed. The letter also includes confusing or contradictory statements, such as saying you are “very happy to solved my problems” before they have been resolved. State the repair request directly and explain each problem’s impact more clearly to address all parts of the task more fully.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
The ideas are mostly related to the apartment problem, and the sequence moves from describing faults to explaining their effects and asking for a visit. However, the letter is presented as one continuous block, with no paragraph breaks to separate the problem, its consequences, and the requested action. Several ideas are repeated or difficult to connect, including “I’m very sad and upset” and the later statements about being upset and happy. Some links between sentences are unclear, so the reader has to work to follow the message. Organise the letter into short paragraphs and use clear transitions to show how the faults affect your family and what you want the manager to do.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use basic vocabulary that communicates the general situation, including “electricity,” “assignments,” and “presentation.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or phrases are inaccurate or unnatural, which sometimes makes the message difficult to interpret. For example, “no shower of bathing” does not clearly describe the fault, while “well performanced activity” and “I hope you are writing well” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors such as “apartement” and “buidling” also reduce accuracy. Build a set of precise repair-related phrases, such as “the shower is not working” and “the power supply keeps failing,” and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect ideas with longer sentences, for example, “My children were disturbed due to electricity,” but most sentence patterns are simple, and attempts at more complex forms are often inaccurate. Errors in verb forms and sentence construction appear in “I thinks that you would solved my problems” and “I don’t have to doing on time.” There are also problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, including “the purpose of writing of letter” and the run-together opening “Dear Sir,I hope…”. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning unclear. Practise accurate past and conditional forms, and use complete sentences with consistent punctuation and spacing.
