Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The letter addresses all three requirements clearly: you describe the blocked kitchen drain and noisy bedroom fan, suggest repairs, and ask the manager to visit and inspect the problems. The effects on your daily routine and your son’s sleep help explain why the repairs matter, while “I would suggest you to come to my place and check the issues” makes the visit request explicit. The proposed actions are relevant, although the suggestion that the pipe “need to be changed” and the fan motor “may need some grease” could be framed as possibilities for the technician to assess rather than definite diagnoses. Overall, the purpose and requested action remain clear throughout; developing the repair request with a little more practical detail would make the ideas more fully supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0

The information follows a clear progression: you introduce the problem, describe each fault and its impact, propose repairs, and then request a visit. “Additionally” effectively signals the second issue, and “before that” links the inspection request to arranging a technician. The reader can follow the letter without difficulty. To make the organisation more polished, separate the two problems into distinct paragraphs and give the final request and closing their own paragraph. Some linking is slightly mechanical, particularly “First and foremost” followed by “Additionally”; simpler transitions or clearer paragraphing would make the progression feel more natural. The opening and closing also need conventional letter punctuation and formatting.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to explain both household faults and their consequences, including “drainage pipe,” “clogged,” “sink start to flood,” and “making too much noise.” These choices make the situation understandable, and “disturbance” conveys the effect on your son. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision and naturalness, such as “forwmost,” “jit,” “tou,” “nit,” and “convinience.” Some phrases are also awkward or imprecise: “finish my utensils” does not naturally describe washing dishes, and “the fan’s motor may need some grease” could be expressed more idiomatically. Aim for accurate everyday repair vocabulary and check spelling carefully; this would make the letter sound more fluent and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentences, for example, “As you know my son is too small and he is not able to sleep in such disturbance,” and the sentence beginning “Could you please arrange a technician…”. The meaning is generally recoverable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect accuracy. Examples include “two problem which have been,” “the sink start to flood,” “one of the ceiling fan,” and “the kitchen pipe need to be changed.” The opening “I am writing thus letter” also contains a grammatical error. Work on plural agreement and consistent verb forms, and divide long sentences where needed. More accurate control of these patterns would make your varied sentence attempts clearer.
