Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both sides of the question: preschool may build communication, language and social skills, while early attendance may create pressure and reduce time with parents. The opening also signals this contrast. However, the discussion is brief and the ideas are only partly developed: the benefits are explained through learning by playing, but the disadvantages largely repeat that children are immature or would rather be at home. Add a specific example and explain more fully how each effect arises. The conclusion restates the contrast without giving a clear, developed overall judgement. The response also does not meet the stated 250-word minimum, which limits the space available to support your points.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph presenting benefits and drawbacks, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “For example,” “However,” “Moreover” and “Therefore” help signal relationships between ideas. This supports a coherent overall arrangement. However, the benefits and disadvantages are placed in one long body paragraph, so the shift between them is not clearly separated; use distinct paragraphs for each side. Some links feel mechanical, and punctuation sometimes runs ideas together, as in “kids minds.However”. Make paragraph boundaries and sentence breaks clearer, and use referencing that makes each point’s connection to the previous one explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “cognitive abilities,” “communication,” “social skills,” “burden” and “pressure.” These choices show an attempt to discuss both educational development and emotional effects. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make the writing less clear or natural, including “deatable,” “paly way method,” “stressfull” and “family realstio ships.” Some phrases are also imprecise, such as “grow kids minds” and “tedious experience.” Check spelling carefully and learn common combinations such as “develop children’s minds” and “a stressful experience.” More precise vocabulary would help distinguish academic pressure from separation or adjustment difficulties.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “This is because” and a contrast introduced by “Although.” The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors occur frequently and sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “the growing number of parents prefer” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “the first and foremost benefit of preschool that kids will develop” is missing a main verb. There are also problems with articles, sentence boundaries and clause construction, as in “it may be create strain.” Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then check agreement and punctuation. This will make your varied sentence attempts more reliable.
