Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschooling as required by the prompt. The position is clear, and the ideas are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'bad habits' is mentioned but not fully explored or supported with a concrete example. While the task is addressed, the depth of analysis could be improved to reach a higher band. The conclusion is a bit repetitive and lacks a strong summary of the main points, but it does fulfill the requirement to discuss both sides.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', 'On the other hand', and 'Moreover'. However, some of these are used in a mechanical way, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'This phenomena is rising'. The referencing is generally clear, but the transition between ideas could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety expected at higher levels. There are several instances of word-choice errors and non-standard collocations, such as 'preschooling in the early age' (instead of 'at an early age'), 'correctly impact' (likely meant 'negatively impact'), and 'damagrous' (a spelling error). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and the errors occasionally draw attention to the language rather than the content.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('it help to children', 'they tends to make'), article misuse ('in the early age'), and incorrect word forms ('enroled', 'benifical'). Punctuation is generally functional, but the frequency of errors in basic grammar structures is noticeable. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent enough to limit the score in this criterion.
