Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing advantages and disadvantages, but the development is inconsistent. While you mention busy schedules and future competition, the arguments are under-developed and lack depth. The conclusion is particularly weak, as it mentions disadvantages but fails to summarize the main points or provide a clear final stance. The ideas are often repetitive, such as the mention of 'busy schedules' and 'future competition' without sufficient elaboration or concrete examples. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and provides a logical explanation that directly relates to the prompt's requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay uses basic paragraphing, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by unclear transitions and awkward phrasing. While you attempt to use cohesive devices like 'On the first hand' and 'On their other hand', these are used incorrectly (the standard phrase is 'On the one hand'). The progression of ideas is often disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your argument. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the lack of proper punctuation between sentences creates a 'run-on' effect that hinders readability. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph focuses on one clear idea would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'important', 'good', and 'bad'. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'tite' (tight), 'peaple' (people), 'trand' (trend), and 'compition' (competition). These errors occasionally impede communication. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the lack of precision and the high frequency of spelling mistakes limit your score. To reach a higher band, focus on learning collocations and using a wider variety of vocabulary to express your ideas more accurately and naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect the clarity of your writing. There are significant issues with sentence structure, such as missing articles ('In modern era'), incorrect verb forms ('have send'), and improper punctuation. Many sentences are fragmented or lack necessary subjects and verbs. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often faulty, leading to confusion. The majority of your sentences contain errors, which prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
