Student answer (Band 4.5)
In this concurrent era, many significant individual parents prefer to send their kids to get admission to a kindergarten school, while some of them are still waiting for a particular age to grow. In this essay, I will briefly discuss both the merits and demerits of this and express the reasons for this in the forthcoming paragraphs.
On the one hand, there are a couple of merits that explain why parents send their children to preschool. First and foremost, some of the kids have grasped particular subjects quickly on a basis because they have certain God-given powers that reason prerents should understand these things they are trying to push it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response is significantly under-length, failing to meet the 250-word minimum requirement. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed. The essay introduces the topic but fails to develop the arguments for both advantages and disadvantages. The second paragraph is incomplete and lacks specific examples or a clear discussion of the disadvantages. Because the response is so brief, it cannot be considered a fully developed essay, which severely limits the score for this criterion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The essay is too short to demonstrate effective paragraphing or logical progression. While there is an attempt at an introduction and a transition to the first body paragraph using 'On the one hand', the lack of content makes it impossible to assess the overall coherence. The ideas presented in the second paragraph are disjointed and difficult to follow, making the logical flow unclear.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and contains several awkward collocations. Phrases like 'concurrent era' and 'get admission to a kindergarten school' are unnatural. The expression 'God-given powers' is vague and does not fit the context of early childhood education. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the errors in word choice are noticeable throughout the short text.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The response contains several grammatical errors that impede clarity. For example, 'some of the kids have grasped particular subjects quickly on a basis' is grammatically incorrect and confusing. The sentence structure is simplistic, and there is a lack of control over complex sentence forms. Errors in phrasing, such as 'reason prerents should understand these things they are trying to push it', make the intended meaning difficult to decipher.
