Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you introduce both advantages and disadvantages, the essay is incomplete; it ends abruptly in the final paragraph, leaving the argument unfinished. The discussion of advantages is relevant, but the disadvantages are not fully explored or supported with examples. To improve, ensure you fully develop each point with clear explanations and examples, and always complete your conclusion. The failure to finish the essay and the lack of sufficient length prevent a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand' and 'Moreover' to signal structure. However, the progression of ideas is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the final paragraph. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is cut off mid-sentence, which disrupts the logical flow. Referencing is generally clear, but the lack of a proper conclusion and the abrupt ending make the overall organization feel disjointed. To improve, focus on completing your thoughts within each paragraph and ensuring a smooth transition between the body paragraphs and the conclusion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You use some relevant terms like 'academics' and 'caregivers', but there are noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'pre nursary' (preschool/nursery), 'poop training' (potty training), and 'get relax' (relax). Some phrasing is repetitive, and the range of vocabulary is limited to basic expressions. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and ensure that your word choices are appropriate for a formal essay context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There is a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but the accuracy is inconsistent. You have frequent errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage, such as 'Education plays a crucial role to be successful in the life' and 'It is also consider that the student who start'. Punctuation is generally functional, but the incomplete sentence at the end is a major issue.
