Student answer (Band 6.0)
There has been an onogoing discussion about sending pupils to schools in an early age. Few parents believe that it is quite a rational approach, while others parents do not agree with this notion. Although this essay provides some probable benefits of the above-mentioned statement, its disadvantages should not be overlooked.
One of the most compelling reasons of why parents send their children to play school at an early age is that it teaches small kids to be discipline in day-to-day tasks. Since preschools have their strict timing for children to come in the morning, and leave in the afternoon. For instance, many children oftern wake up early in the morning so that they may reach preschool on time, ultimately making them more discipline in nature. Moreover, this particular phenomenon also help kids to get socialise with other children, allowing small children to be more interactive when they grow up. Consquently, taking admission in preschool when they are three or four years old is likely to play an imperative role to get discipline in life, and to make friends.
Despite many benefits, its disadvantages should not be overlooked. First of all, many children are likey to loose the behaviuor of ourselves, as there are often several kids who are genrally introvert in nature. They usually do not get along with others, which may give the chance to other students to bully them. As a result, they are highly likely that they may loose their innocence. For example, many children often face peer pressure at an early age, beacuse of that they often get scared when it comes to go to preschool. Another contributing factor is the competition with other class mates. Because parents wants their children to do well in the preschool, it creates a pressure on the mental health of the children. Therefore, several children often end up failing in the exams.
To conclud, although its advantages in terms of learning discipline, and socialize with others looks promising, I believe the change in childrens' behaviour, and affecting thier mental well being are far more superior.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschool education. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the benefits regarding discipline and social interaction are explained, the disadvantages—specifically the claim that children 'fail exams' in preschool—lack logical grounding and seem slightly off-topic for the age group mentioned. To improve, ensure that the supporting arguments are realistic and directly relevant to the developmental stage of three-to-four-year-olds. The conclusion effectively summarizes the main points, though the phrasing 'far more superior' is slightly awkward.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Consequently', and 'Despite many benefits' are used to link ideas. However, there are instances where the flow is slightly mechanical or the referencing is unclear, such as in the sentence 'many children are likey to loose the behaviuor of ourselves'. The transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall progression. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the logical structure is generally easy to follow, though some sentences feel disconnected due to grammatical errors.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task, but there are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'onogoing', 'oftern', 'loose' instead of 'lose', 'behaviuor', 'beacuse', 'conclud'). These errors are noticeable and detract from the professional tone of the essay. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'imperative role' and 'introvert', the misuse of words like 'loose' (for lose) and 'ourselves' (in an inappropriate context) limits the score. To reach a higher band, the student needs to focus on accurate spelling and more precise word choices to convey meaning without ambiguity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'sending pupils to schools in an early age' (should be 'at'), 'it teaches small kids to be discipline' (should be 'disciplined'), and 'parents wants their children' (subject-verb agreement error). Punctuation is generally functional, but the sentence structure in the final paragraph is slightly fragmented. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of errors in basic grammar and word forms prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Increased attention to proofreading for subject-verb agreement and preposition usage is recommended.
