Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The essay addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschool as requested. The position is clear from the introduction, and the main ideas—socialization/school readiness versus health risks—are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'vulnerability' is repetitive, focusing heavily on hygiene without exploring other potential downsides like the loss of family time or the cost of private education. To reach a higher band, you should aim to provide more nuanced explanations and ensure that the examples provided are fully integrated into the argument rather than just mentioned.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with a clear introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'On the other hand' and 'Consequently,' though some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as the use of 'while' at the start of a sentence in the conclusion. Paragraphing is appropriate, and there is a clear progression of ideas. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that the internal structure of your sentences flows more naturally to avoid a choppy reading experience.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choices, such as 'getting mature' instead of 'reaching school age' and 'relevant logics' instead of 'relevant arguments.' Additionally, there are spelling errors like 'precooling' and 'week' (instead of 'weak'). To improve, focus on learning collocations—words that naturally go together—and proofreading for basic spelling errors that can distract the reader from your otherwise clear arguments.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Issues include missing articles ('In last few decades'), subject-verb agreement errors ('Family tend to send'), and awkward phrasing ('That young age children'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, pay closer attention to article usage, pluralization, and verb tense consistency. Practicing the construction of complex sentences will help you demonstrate better control over your grammar.
