Student answer (Band 6.0)
I believe , Pre schools plays a vital role in small children’s lives. Some people thinks it is good to send their kids to pre school at the early ages but some do not think so. I will discuss both advantages and disadvantages below.
Sending kids to pre school at the age of three or four is actually good because kids comes to know how to sit properly and even they learn more about small things . For example, in pre schools teachers have time arrangements for kids. They have timings for eating, playing and sleeping. They can make friends, they could be more into outdoor activities rather than mobile games . So kids get use to these habits which are really good. Acquiring good habits at the early age is quite beneficial for them and for their parents too.
On the other hand, If kids are going to pre schools at very early ages it affects love and attachment for their parents. For example, If your kid is spending six to seven hours a days at school without you, he or she getting use to it. They will think that this is the life. Their attachment with parents will depreciate gradually. At small ages, parents have to spend time with their kids and when they get old enough then they can send them to pre schools to learn good habits.
In the nutshell, From my perspective sending kids to pre school at their early ages might be good but it could be not that beneficial as well.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschool as requested. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention benefits like routine and social skills, and drawbacks like parental attachment, the arguments remain at a surface level. To improve, you should provide more detailed explanations or specific examples to support your points. For instance, when discussing 'attachment,' you could elaborate on the psychological impact or contrast it with the long-term social benefits. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the response is more characteristic of a Band 5.5 or 6.0 level.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'On the other hand' and 'In the nutshell' (which should be 'In a nutshell'). However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of linking words is quite repetitive. The transition between the introduction and the body paragraphs is clear, but the conclusion is very brief and does not effectively summarize the main points. Improving the variety of your cohesive devices and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would help elevate your score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'good,' 'small things,' and 'get use to.' There are also some minor errors in word choice, such as 'depreciate' (which is usually used for currency or assets rather than emotional bonds) and 'time arrangements' (which should be 'structured routines'). To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary related to child development and education.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Pre schools plays,' 'Some people thinks,' 'kids comes') and incorrect verb forms ('he or she getting use to it'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma placement. While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
