Student answer (Band 6.0)
Undoubtedly, introducing kids to education at the right age is crucial. However, some parents enrol in their children to kindergartens at an early age, whereas other parents wait until their kids mature in order to go to preschool. I am going to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of both in this essay.
To begin with, sending children at three or four year of age to preschool is stratergic decision of the parents, because kid's brain is so active and it is easy to adupt things. Moreover, they learn sharing and communicating skills without help of their elders. In addition, it boosts their mental and physical growth by learning new things and playing with other kids. But it has some disadvantages too. Such as children sometimes feel alone and shy, as they are too young to accept a new environment. For instance, my niece is 3 year old and her parents get her admission in preschool, after going for a few days she likes to go to school and she makes some friends there.
Furthermore, waiting until children are old enough is not a completely bad decision of some parents, is it has some positive sides. Firstly, it is easy for children to understand what their mentors are saying and they can actively get involved in school activities. Secondly, they communicate clearly with others. However, it has some cons like children are so old to learn basic things about preschool, and to some extent they feel bored.
To conclude, it is crucial to introduce children to education at right milestone of their life, after 3 year is best age for children starts with the real world and education.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of early preschool attendance. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the point about children feeling 'alone and shy' is mentioned but not fully explored or linked to the broader context of social development. The essay also lacks a clear, consistent position, as the conclusion introduces a personal opinion ('after 3 year is best age') that was not clearly argued throughout the body paragraphs. To reach a higher band, you should provide more depth to your arguments and ensure your position is clearly stated in the introduction and maintained throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore' are used to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly repetitive. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'waiting until children are old enough is not a completely bad decision of some parents, is it has some positive sides', where the transition is awkward. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the flow between sentences could be improved to create a more natural progression of ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are several instances of awkward phrasing or incorrect word choice, such as 'enrol in their children', 'adupt things' (likely meant 'adapt'), and 'get her admission'. The range of vocabulary is limited, relying on basic terms like 'good', 'bad', and 'things'. To improve, you should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and collocations, such as 'cognitive development' instead of 'brain is so active' or 'socialization' instead of 'sharing and communicating skills'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('kid's brain is so active'), article usage ('at three or four year of age'), and prepositional errors ('enrol in their children'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some run-on sentences and minor errors in sentence construction. While the meaning is usually clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be highly beneficial.
