Student answer (Band 6.0)

School plays pivotal role in children's life. There is an argument about school going kids, few guardians believes that children should start their school at their later age, while others think that three or four age is appropriate for them to study in school. However, both views have their own reasons, in upcoming paragraphs I will discuss the both pros and cons of sending them to preschool at early age.

To begin with the most positive aspect is immature mind. To explain it, young age is considered as a precious age, they can learn and catch everything quickly. Therefore, it is better for them to attend preschool at early age. For example, daycare is significant place for minors where they learn more than their seniors. Moreover, parents get time to start their job. To illustrate it, in this inflation era every family members needs to do job. When they send to their toddlers to education center then they get time to do their job.

Moving towards the negative points, insufficient quality time to spend with parents. Since , children stay at school from 8am to 4pm, after returning to home they feel tired and show less involvement with their family members. As a consequences, it becomes the cause to weaken their bonds. Apart from this, early academic pressure can make kids less active and reduce their natural curiosity about learning. That is why, they should keep them at home until they turn at the age of five or six.

In conclusion, enrolling toddlers early in school has more benefits than waiting to reach at old age.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschool as required by the prompt. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'immature mind' is vague and lacks a clear explanation of how this specifically benefits a child's development. Similarly, the point about 'inflation era' is a bit tangential to the core topic of child development. While the position is clear, the supporting examples are brief and lack depth. To improve, you should aim to expand on your points with more specific, illustrative examples that directly relate to the educational or social benefits of early schooling.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'As a consequences, it becomes the cause to weaken their bonds', where the phrasing is awkward. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'pivotal role', 'inflation era', and 'natural curiosity'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'three or four age' instead of 'three or four years of age', and 'do job' instead of 'work' or 'pursue a career'. These errors do not impede communication, but they do limit your ability to convey ideas with precision. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more academic vocabulary to replace basic phrases.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'few guardians believes' (subject-verb agreement), 'send to their toddlers' (incorrect preposition usage), and 'turn at the age of five' (awkward phrasing). While these errors rarely impede communication, they are persistent. To reach a higher band, you need to focus on subject-verb agreement, correct article usage, and refining your sentence construction to ensure that complex structures are used accurately rather than just attempted.
