Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some Caregivers prefers to send their offspring to day care school when their age is nearly about 3 to 4 years. On the other hand some prefers to send their child when they are old enough to go to the school. Both statements have pros and cons which i will be discussing further in this essay.
Firstly, I believe that toddlers should be send to preschool when they are three or four years old. As, they will start learning new things and will enjoy playing with different students along with them. It will also prepare them for the primary school. By learning from a tender age will make them confident and they will make their new friends. In daycare school they will learn to eat different kinds of healthy food which they might not be eating at their home but by seeing others also eat they also will try to eat the food.
On the other hand, the cons are for the parents and child. Guardians will have to pay the fees for it which might be a financial stress and kids will feel like more pressure of studying at childhood. Infants would also feel lack of love and time from their parents. Kids might struggle to adopt the new learning environment, unfamiliar teachers and other learners. They might not be comfortable to the environment of school and will not like to go school everyday as this is their age to play.
In conclusion, Both attitudes are understandable: By sending minors at young age to preschool will prepare them for their higher school and make them more confident and realistic. Whereas, waiting until the children are old enough for primary school will be waste of time. They might not learn or explore things.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschool as requested. The position is clear throughout the essay. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'healthy food' is a good start but could be expanded to explain the long-term impact on dietary habits. The conclusion introduces a new, slightly contradictory point by suggesting that waiting until primary school is a 'waste of time,' which is not fully supported by the preceding arguments. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully explored with specific examples or logical consequences rather than just listing them.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, with an introduction, body paragraphs for pros and cons, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Firstly,' 'On the other hand,' and 'In conclusion,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Both statements have pros and cons which i will be discussing further.' Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks sophistication. The student uses basic terms like 'offspring,' 'day care school,' and 'kids' repeatedly. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'nearly about' (redundant) and 'comfortable to the environment' (should be 'comfortable with'). While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is little attempt to use less common or idiomatic language. To improve, the student should focus on using more precise academic vocabulary and ensuring collocations are natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some Caregivers prefers,' 'some prefers'), incorrect verb forms ('should be send'), and awkward phrasing ('By learning from a tender age will make them'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are errors in capitalization and sentence construction. While these errors do not typically impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
