Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, as it is only 136 words long. Consequently, the task is not fully addressed. While the essay attempts to discuss both advantages and disadvantages, the ideas are significantly underdeveloped and the conclusion is missing entirely. The response cuts off mid-sentence at the end, which prevents a clear position from being established or maintained. To improve, you must expand on your points with specific examples and ensure you complete the essay structure with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay shows some attempt at logical organization by using transition signals like 'To commence with' and 'However'. However, the progression is interrupted by the incomplete nature of the text. Paragraphing is present, but the second body paragraph is unfinished, which disrupts the flow of ideas. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the phrase 'In which they feel more confident', where the antecedent is ambiguous. To improve, ensure that each paragraph is fully developed and that cohesive devices are used to link ideas smoothly throughout the entire response.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts the ability to convey complex ideas. There are several errors in word choice and form, such as 'nursery Hool' (likely a typo for 'school') and 'basic of primary schools' education'. The use of 'Childs' is grammatically incorrect; the plural should be 'children'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to discuss the topic in depth. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to education and child development, and ensure you use the correct plural forms of nouns.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'It is considered that nowadays many individuals do nursery Hool for their child' (awkward phrasing), 'unit they are ready' (spelling error for 'until'), and 'sending children to nursery school in very young age having many negative effects' (incorrect verb tense and preposition usage). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the punctuation is inconsistent. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement, correct preposition usage, and practicing the construction of complex sentences to demonstrate a wider grammatical range.
