There is an ongoing debate on when children should be admitted to school. While some people send their younger ones keep them home during the initial years and sends them directly to the primary school, I think sending them during the early years to the preschool has greater advantages which enhances their skills and facilitate better learning.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument, discussing advantages such as social skill development and disadvantages like detachment issues. However, the essay is incomplete; it ends abruptly mid-sentence in the final paragraph, which prevents a full development of the disadvantages and a clear conclusion. While the position is clear in the introduction, the lack of a finished argument and a concluding summary limits the depth of the response. To improve, ensure that all points are fully articulated and that the essay includes a cohesive conclusion that synthesizes the main arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay uses basic paragraphing and some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'on the other hand' to organize ideas. However, the flow is interrupted by the incomplete final paragraph. Referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between ideas could be smoother. The structure is logical in its intent, but the failure to complete the final thought significantly impacts the overall coherence of the piece. Using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, finished structure would improve the score in this criterion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, though it is somewhat repetitive and contains several spelling errors (e.g., 'aespects', 'chikldren', 'asttached', 'tey'). There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary such as 'detachment' and 'instructors', but these are occasionally misused or misspelled. The range is limited, and the student relies on simple phrasing. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise academic collocations and ensure accurate spelling of key terms to avoid distracting the reader from the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Examples include 'i personally did not attended' (tense error), 'parent's put' (unnecessary apostrophe), and 'as they will bw spending' (typo). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of errors is noticeable and occasionally impedes the flow of reading. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and consistent verb tense usage would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
