Student answer (Band 8.0)
Here is a sample IELTS essay:
Many parents choose to send their children to preschool at the age of three or four, while others prefer to wait until they are old enough to attend primary school. Although starting preschool at a young age can provide children with important social and educational benefits, it may also have some disadvantages.
One major advantage of preschool education is that it helps children develop social skills at an early age. By spending time with other children, they learn how to share, cooperate, and communicate effectively. These skills can make the transition to primary school much easier. In addition, preschool can introduce young children to a structured learning environment. They may begin to develop basic skills such as recognising letters, numbers, colours, and shapes. For example, a child who has attended preschool may feel more confident and independent when starting primary school because they are already familiar with being away from their parents and following a daily routine.
However, sending children to preschool at a very young age can also have drawbacks. Some children may not be emotionally ready to spend long periods away from their parents. This can cause stress and anxiety, particularly during the first few weeks. Furthermore, young children have different rates of development, and introducing formal education too early may place unnecessary pressure on them. Instead of spending most of their time learning through play at home, they may have to follow rules and schedules that are not suitable for their individual needs.
In my opinion, preschool can be highly beneficial if it provides a safe and supportive environment where children can learn primarily through play and social interaction. However, parents should consider their child's personality and emotional development before making this decision. Not every child is ready for preschool at the same age.
In conclusion, early preschool education offers significant advantages, including improved social skills and preparation for primary school. Nevertheless, it may also create emotional stress or place pressure on children who are not yet ready. Therefore, parents should carefully consider what is best for their individual child.

The majority of your sentences are error-free, and your control over punctuation and grammar is strong. There are no significant grammatical errors that distract the reader. The writing is fluent and demonstrates a high level of accuracy, which is consistent with the requirements for a high band score.
