Student answer (Band 6.0)

There is an ongoing debate about whether children should be sent to the institution or should wait for the getting more older. Some people believe that they should go to school early. Whereas other parents argue that we should wait for the right time. Although sending to daycare early has some benefits, it has certain drawbacks.

Examining the brighter side of this is schooling can play a vital role in personality development through interpersonal skills at a very young age. Because it helps them to be more proactive in the latter stage of primary school, where these skills can be useful for communicating, playing together, making friends, and group work. For instance, studies have shown that those who learn school rules at a young age have more leadership skills, as they already have knowledge of the academic organizational environment.

On the contrary, this trend has some downsides too. To begin with, sending children to school earlier can create a gap in the relationship between parents and children. Because school hours require them to stay there almost half of the day. Resulting in emotionally feels alone. In addition. Cooperating with the school environment can be stressful for some children as they have to complete tasks according to the instructor instructions.

In conclusion, preschooling can be beneficial as it provides soft and leadership skills to young children; however, it is equally stressful for some students and also emotionally depriving of their parents. Although this trend has beneficial outcomes, it also has detrimental results.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both the advantages and disadvantages of preschooling. The position is clear, and the main ideas—social development versus emotional strain—are relevant. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about the 'gap in the relationship' is mentioned but not fully explored with specific examples or deeper analysis. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, merely restating the prompt rather than synthesizing the arguments. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your supporting points with more detailed explanations or concrete examples, ensuring that each paragraph provides a comprehensive view of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'In addition', and 'On the contrary', which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by sentence fragments or awkward phrasing, such as 'Resulting in emotionally feels alone.' Referencing is occasionally unclear, and the connection between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence flows naturally into the next will enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'interpersonal skills', 'personality development', and 'academic organizational environment'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'getting more older' (should be 'getting older') and 'emotionally depriving of their parents' (which is grammatically and semantically awkward). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and avoiding repetitive phrasing. Expanding your range of academic vocabulary will help you convey your arguments with greater sophistication and precision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, such as sentence fragments ('Resulting in emotionally feels alone.' and 'In addition. Cooperating...') and issues with subject-verb agreement or word order ('should wait for the getting more older'). These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader, though they do not completely impede communication. To achieve a higher score, focus on eliminating sentence fragments, ensuring proper punctuation, and refining your control over complex sentence structures to ensure they are error-free.
