Student answer (Band 6.0)
Some people believe that sending their children to pre-school at a young age will make them more smart and other people wait until their children are old enough for pre-school. I will discuss both pros and cons of the situation before my opinion in next paragraphs.
There are many advantages of sending the kids to school at a young age. They tend to learn various new things like how to sit, eat by themselves, and many more. This phase of age is considered very important because whatever the child learns at this age, they will remember it forever. They will grow physically and socially in an efficient manner. They start to learn about new topics and by making new friends they will also exchange their ideas which makes them more smart mentally. For instance, when a teenager learns something new, they always want to share it with someone else. This leads to, will help them to develop their memory power. There are also some disadvantages of this situation like mental pressure. Some kids might feel social pressure to show up in a classroom. They will become more introvert and can lead to depression as well.
In conclusion, I believe that rather than starting with a pre-school at a very young age, parents should teach their child how to be social, what are the things in school, so that child feels secure because they knew something before.
In conclusion, parents should send their children to school at age where child knew something about school-life, education, friends. So that, child will
get excited to join their pre-school.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of sending children to preschool at a young age, and the student provides a concluding personal opinion. Ideas are presented, such as learning social skills and potential mental pressure, though some arguments are rather brief and under-developed. For instance, the transition from discussing toddlers to mentioning when 'a teenager learns something new' introduces confusion regarding the age group under discussion. While a clear position is established in the conclusion, the overall development of ideas aligns best with a Band 6 level, where all parts are addressed but some ideas lack sufficient extension.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a generally coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction, body paragraph, and a double conclusion. However, paragraphing is somewhat problematic; the essay features two concluding paragraphs that essentially repeat the same sentiment, showing a flaw in structural progression. Cohesive devices are used, but referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the ambiguous pronoun use in 'This leads to, will help them to develop their memory power.' Paragraph sequencing is logical at the start, but the repetitive and disjointed ending impacts the overall flow, keeping this criterion at a Band 5.5 to 6.0 level.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'socially', 'efficient manner', and 'depression'. However, there are notable word choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'more smart' instead of 'smarter' or 'more intelligent', and 'phase of age' instead of 'age group' or 'stage of life'. There are also repetitive expressions. While meaning is generally clear despite these lexical inaccuracies, the frequency of less-than-natural phrasing limits the score to a Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The response demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'Some people believe that sending their children...'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors and awkward clause structures that disrupt the flow, including 'before my opinion in next paragraphs', 'at age where child knew', and the incomplete fragment 'This leads to, will help them...'. Punctuation and article usage are also inconsistent ('starting with a pre-school'). Although communication is rarely completely impeded, the accumulation of structural inaccuracies places this submission firmly at a Band 5.5.
