Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the advantages (physical and mental development) and disadvantages (safety concerns and financial burden) of sending children to preschool at a young age. A clear position is maintained throughout the essay. Ideas are generally extended and supported, such as mentioning specific activities like story-telling and referencing a study by the University of Oxford. However, there is a minor digression in the second paragraph where the writer advises parents to allocate time for home activities, which shifts away from the prompt's focus on preschool. Overall, the task is handled competently, earning a solid Band 6.5.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion. Paragraphs are used appropriately to separate advantages and disadvantages. Cohesive devices are employed to signal progression, such as 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'However'. Nevertheless, some cohesion is a bit mechanical or faulty, as seen in the phrasing 'while opposition mention that children safety is a major concern'. Furthermore, referencing and pronoun usage occasionally lack precision, leading to a slightly disjointed flow between sentences. Progression is evident, but it can be improved with smoother transitions. This performance aligns well with Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors throughout the response, such as 'children safety' instead of 'child safety', 'parents mind' instead of 'parents' minds', and 'Tutition' (spelling error). Additionally, phrases like 'do more working hours' and 'potential an anxiety' show awkward phrasing. However, there are several grammatical errors and awkward structures present. For instance, the opening sentence contains a redundancy ('debating over the fact that whether'). Other errors include subject-verb agreement issues like 'parents also comes under' and incorrect prepositions or article usage. Despite these recurring mistakes, the meaning remains clear and communication is rarely impeded. This corresponds to a Band 6.0.
