Student answer (Band 5.5)

Preshool is a foundation of any children before they start their journey of studying. Many guardians think that sending their kids to nursery when they are three or four will make them active and can learn more about relations and friends but other think that they should send their child to a play center when they are old enough so that they are more protected and can understand the concept well, In this essay you will read about the advantages and disadvantages with some real life examples and expreiences.

Parents who think that kids should be sent to preschool at the age of 3-4 because by sending them they can learn about the world and while engaging in playground they can learn to build relationships and friendships with thier classmates. moreover they can learn values of real life such sharing ,caring , forgiving. According to my perspective the only disadvantage i can see that sometimes children might get hurt while playing with each other and sometimes if teacher is not that attentive any mishapp can occur in thier early age.

on the other hand parents who decide to send their children after certain age as they are more concerned and possesive about their childrens upbringing as they are more protective and which some times may lead to delayed developmentin children as they are only exposed to people whi are family but the advantage can be that once they are at certain age they can understand things in a btter way to communicate with the outside world properly

Hence i would like to tell you that both has its own pros and cons but it always depends on the parents who decides which kind of environment they want for their children in their growth era and how they want their children to be eventually all children are diffrent at laerning some has fast pace of learnings and others have low.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the advantages and disadvantages of sending young children to preschool. The writer presents a clear position throughout the essay, introducing the benefits related to socialization and development, alongside potential drawbacks such as safety concerns and protective parenting leading to delayed development. However, some ideas are slightly under-developed and lack extension with concrete personal examples, relying instead on broad generalizations. For instance, mentioning that children learn values like sharing and caring is relevant, but the point is not fully elaborated with a specific example. Despite this limitation in depth, all parts of the task are addressed, earning a Band 6.0 according to the task response descriptors.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement, and the writer attempts to logically sequence ideas across distinct paragraphs representing the introduction, body points, and conclusion. However, cohesion is frequently faulty and mechanical. There are run-on sentences and punctuation issues, such as comma splices and missing periods, which disrupt the flow (e.g., 'concept well, In this essay...' and 'protective and which some times may lead...'). Paragraphing is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs often lacks smooth transitions. Referencing pronouns like 'they' and 'which' can occasionally be ambiguous. These issues place the essay firmly at Band 5.0 for coherence and cohesion.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items and topic-specific terms such as 'socialization', 'upbringing', and 'development'. However, there are noticeable spelling errors ('Preshool', 'thier', 'possesive', 'diffrent', 'laerning') and word-choice inaccuracies ('engaged in playground' instead of 'playgrounds', 'people whi are family'). While these errors do not severely impede overall communication, they occur frequently enough to restrict the score to a Band 5.0, as they cause some difficulty for the reader and show limited control over word formation and spelling.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, demonstrating some ability to form subordinate clauses (e.g., 'Parents who think that kids should be sent...'). However, grammatical accuracy is weak, with frequent errors in punctuation, sentence boundary errors, missing articles, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'both has its own pros', 'all children are diffrent at laerning'). Many complex sentence attempts are flawed, resulting in long, rambling sentences lacking proper terminal punctuation. Because errors are frequent and occasionally strain the reader's comprehension, this performance corresponds to a Band 5.0.
