Student answer (Band 4.5)
Some parents send their childreen to preschool when they are three or four years old but some other parents wait until their children are old enough for primary school before they send them to school here are some advantages and disadvantages of sending children to preschool at young age and in this essay here are advantages and disadvanatages of sending childreen to preschool at a young age.
Here are some pros of sending children to preschool at three or four years old because some parents think that sending their children to school very early because they should learn new things at very small age so they can interac with each other very easily and make new friends because when sometimes the children are always living in house alone so sometimes when they see some children they do not interac with other children easily Because as my personal example My cousin"s son is always living alone so when he see someone who is coming to home he always cry very loudly and do not come with anyone so I think so one of the advanyage of sending children to school is the good advantage and they learn new things like playing more games and learn to eat the different types of food with other children so they also learn to eat food and if they learn easily they are becoming strong . For Example My cousin is working so Her son is still one yera old and she has putten her son in the day care and he always learn new things in day care better than living at home so she is happy that sometimes she thinks that rather than staying at home he learns lot of things at day care and learn to eat the different types of food and the good discipline.
On the other hand the disadvantages some parents think that sending their children at very small age is not good because they are geeting responsibilty very early of studying some parents think that their age is playing so they don"t give very early responsibilty so they want their children to play in this age .
To conclude that there are advantages and disadvantages of sending their children to preschool when they are three or four years old there are both the sides of sending their children to school.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response attempts to address both the advantages and disadvantages of sending children to preschool at a young age. However, the development of ideas is repetitive and hindered by poor phrasing and digressions. The introduction contains redundant repetitions of the essay prompt, stating 'here are some advantages and disadvantages of sending children to preschool at young age and in this essay here are advantages and disadvanatages of sending childreen to preschool at a young age.' The main body points attempt to discuss socialisation and avoiding early responsibilities, but they rely heavily on personal anecdotes that are somewhat confusingly articulated, such as referring to a one-year-old child's responsibilities or living alone. While the prompt is partially addressed, the overall development falls short of Band 6 requirements due to the lack of clear, well-supported argumentation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The text lacks clear overall progression and suffers from severely flawed structural organisation. The entire essay essentially consists of two massive, run-on paragraphs alongside a redundant introduction and a very brief conclusion. The sentences are connected by endless coordinating conjunctions like 'and' or 'because', creating extreme run-on sentences without proper punctuation or full stops. For example, the first main body paragraph runs on for over 150 words with almost no internal paragraph breaks or appropriate cohesive devices to signal shifts in thought. Paragraphing is used incorrectly, as the main arguments are crammed into a single chaotic block. Cohesion is therefore inadequate and mechanical, justifying a Band 4.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The vocabulary used is very basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling errors such as 'childreen', 'interac', 'geeting', and 'responsibilty'. The writer relies on simple descriptive words and fails to demonstrate a sufficient range for more than a minimal task completion. Words are often misused or awkwardly collocated, such as 'putten her son in the day care' or 'geeting responsibilty very early of studying'. There are very few attempts at less common vocabulary, and those that are attempted are marred by significant inaccuracies. This vocabulary profile aligns with the Band 4 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The grammatical structure of the essay is heavily compromised by a lack of control over basic sentence boundaries. The text is dominated by massive run-on sentences joined by strings of conjunctions rather than distinct, well-punctuated independent clauses. There is an almost complete absence of correct punctuation, particularly full stops and commas. Grammatical errors are very frequent, including tense inconsistencies, subject-verb agreement issues ('he always cry', 'they is happy'), and faulty complex structures. The range of structures is extremely limited and errors constantly strain the reader's comprehension, placing the response firmly in Band 4.
