Student answer (Band 5.0)

some parents send thier children to preschool before the age of five while, others wait until thier child enough growth before send them to primary school. This essay will discuss both advantages and disadvantages in upcoming paragraphs.

On the one hand, in early age children are better learners. To elaborate it, in the age of three or four years children adapt everything fast. they can learn and copy eveything which is taught by thier teachers. For example, recent research says that most of children learn furiously about communication skills, teamwork, and cooperation with others in early age. Moreover, if students go preschool then they can easily habitual with daily routines and work. For instance, if child have to go school they can wake up byself early and follow the routine for the day easily without any parental pressure.

On the other hand, separation of anxiety is the disadvatage of waiting until old enough. Beacause, when children get little mature then it is difficult for them to go school without their parents and anyone. For example, my cousin's parents send their child at the age of 8 and when she start schooling she always start crying and make some unusal reasons to not go school. In addition, less attention in class to individuals. most of the children start school then it is difficult for teachers to gave attention on each one due to whcih sometimes students face difficulty in understanding the vital topics.

To conclude, preschool provide better learning skills and make them habitual is the benefits. However, anxiety and reduce attention in class has some disadavntages of this topic.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task partially by discussing both advantages and disadvantages, but the ideas are limited and under-developed. While the introduction outlines the topic, the position is not always clear, and the arguments lack sufficient elaboration. For instance, the discussion on separation anxiety slightly confuses the direction, mixing up the age of starting school. To move to a higher level, the writer needs to present fully developed ideas with relevant, well-supported explanations and clear examples for each main point.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation evident in the essay, with basic paragraphing and transitional phrases like 'On the one hand' and 'To conclude'. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the piece. Cohesive devices are sometimes inaccurate or repetitive, and referencing is not always clear, as seen in confusing pronoun usage like 'when child have to go school they can wake up byself'. To improve, the writer should ensure a smoother logical flow between sentences and use a wider, more accurate range of cohesive ties to connect ideas seamlessly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited but minimally adequate for expressing basic thoughts. There are noticeable lexical errors and spelling mistakes throughout the text, such as 'thier', 'eveything', 'furiously', 'disadvatage', and 'Beacause', which cause some difficulty for the reader. The range of vocabulary is restricted, relying heavily on basic terms. To achieve a higher score, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, incorporate less common vocabulary with greater precision, and pay closer attention to accurate spelling and word formation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer uses a limited range of sentence structures, and attempts at complex sentences are often faulty. There are frequent grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('most of children learn', 'child have to go'), incorrect prepositions ('in early age' instead of 'at an early age'), and missing articles. These errors can cause difficulty for the reader. To reach the next level, the student should aim to produce a better mix of simple and complex sentence forms with significantly fewer errors in grammar and punctuation.
