Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays contemporary world, there are multiple parents those who are working to earn and give a better lifestyle to their children but to do this they are compromising at some end by sending their kids to primary school. Although it has its own benefits and drawbacks on the other hand, some of them are listed below.
On one hand if we see the negatives of sending children to a primary school at a small age can make them feel away from their parents and effect their mental health, also they may feel isolated inside and feel lonely because of which they are not able to share their thoughts even after growing up. Pupils feel that their parents are not loving them in a way or to an extent they deserve to be loved for instance it happened in our family that the baby at the age of 2.5 waas sent to primary school who did not felt too close to her parents after spending time with other children and tutors and felt lonely at home.
On the other hand if we see the positives of it then the children learn to become socialize with the people who they even don't know very well, this way they learn to become less discriminative and be together with everyone. Also when kids eats together, plays together, and learns together they learn to become friends with unknown persons and share their things like toys and edible items with each other this way they become kind, caring and mentally strong and independent when parents are not around them. Children learn new lessons every single day while they visit to school.
In conclusion, although parents want to have a setelled carrer in their life but they should also focus on their children and ensure that they are not feeling alone at the same time and should spend quality time even if its less in quantity.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses the task only partially, confusing preschool with primary school throughout the essay. The position is not always clearly sustained, and the ideas presented are rather limited and under-developed. For instance, the negative impact on mental health and isolation is supported by only a single, vague personal anecdote about a family member sent to school at age 2.5. Similarly, the positive points about socialization and sharing are mentioned briefly without sufficient extension or detailed explanation. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to ensure the prompt is addressed accurately regarding preschool age groups and develop each argument more thoroughly with well-explained examples.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The essay displays some basic organization, utilizing traditional transitional markers such as 'On one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' to structure the response. However, there is no clear overall progression throughout the text, and the flow is occasionally hindered by repetitive phrasing and awkward transitions. Paragraphing is attempted, but the grouping of ideas lacks seamless connection. For example, the second paragraph bundles multiple distinct thoughts into one long, run-on sentence without adequate separation. To improve, the writer should focus on logically sequencing supporting points into distinct sentences and enhancing the variety and precision of cohesive devices.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task, with noticeable errors that occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. There are frequent word-choice and collocation issues, such as writing 'at some end' instead of 'at some cost', and 'become socialize' instead of 'become socialized'. Furthermore, terms like 'edible items' sound unnatural in this context, and confusing 'preschool' with 'primary school' demonstrates a restricted vocabulary range for educational settings. To achieve a higher band, the writer must expand their lexical repertoire, use less common vocabulary more accurately, and pay closer attention to natural collocations and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text exhibits a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on basic sentence forms with frequent attempts at complex sentences that prove faulty. There are persistent errors in grammar, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('a baby... waas sent... who did not felt'), incorrect prepositions, and awkward relative clauses ('parents those who are working'). Punctuation is also weak, particularly the lack of appropriate terminal punctuation and comma splices in long, convoluted sentences. To progress, the student should aim to master basic sentence construction, reduce frequent grammatical errors, and ensure better control over verb tenses and forms in complex sentences.
